Return and Exchange Policy

We want you to love your purchase! We gladly accept returns only for defective or damaged items. 

We sell our products on as is where is basis, so we do not accept exchanges. Each product that we offer is unique and only one. 

Please note that our products at Cool Kimono Crafts are upcycled vintage kimono. There may be some stains, mostly as a result of being stored in closet for a long time. We deem it as a factor that adds more vintage feels. Nevertheless, its well-preserved silk fabric and artistic patterns attest the premium quality of kimono made by Japanese craftsmen that can withstand time.

For on-hand items, we have standard sizes for each item. Please refer to our size charts. If there is a need for alteration in size, please consult with us. The alteration cost and shipping costs will be borne by the client.

For made to order items, we do not accept returns.

For Defective or Damaged Items:

If your item is defective or damaged, we will gladly cover the return shipping cost. 

Important: Before Making a Purchase

  • Please read the product description carefully, including sizing or fitting details.
  • Use our size guide to compare your body measurements to ensure a proper fit.


Return Window

We have a 2-day return policy, meaning you have 2 days after receiving your item to request a return.

How to Request a Return:

  1. Contact us at coolkimonocrafts@gmail.com within the return window.
  2. Provide the required details (see below for damages).
  3. If your return is accepted, we will provide a return shipping label and instructions on how to send your package back.

Note: Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.


Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, email us at coolkimonocrafts@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with the following:

  • Photos of the product.
  • Photos of the original packaging.
  • A video showing the package being opened and the item's condition upon arrival.
  • Your order number.

Important: If you fail to contact us within 48 hours and do not provide the required evidence, the return will not be eligible.
We strongly encourage you to inspect your package immediately upon delivery.

Packaging Guidelines

Ensure the item is securely packaged to avoid damage during transit. Returns for items damaged due to improper packaging will not be accepted.


Review Process for Returns

We will thoroughly inspect all returned items once received. While we require photos/videos of the item before shipping, the item's condition will be reassessed after we receive it.

Note: Returns may be denied if the item does not meet our criteria or shows signs of wear or damage beyond normal use.


Cancellation of Orders Policy

At Cool Kimono Crafts, we understand that circumstances may change, and you may need to cancel your order. To ensure a smooth process, please review our cancellation policy:

Order Cancellation Window

  • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase if the item has not yet been shipped or processed.
  • After 24 hours, cancellation requests will not be accepted as the order will have been processed.

How to Request a Cancellation

  1. Email us at coolkimonocrafts@gmail.com with your order number and request for cancellation.
  2. We will confirm the status of your order and notify you whether the cancellation request has been accepted.

Refund for Canceled Orders

  • If your cancellation request is approved, we will process a full refund to your original payment method within 15 business days.
  • Note: Banks or credit card companies may take additional time to process and post the refund.

Exceptions

  • Made-to-order items are not eligible for cancellation as they are custom-made for you.
  • Orders that have already been shipped cannot be canceled. In such cases, refer to our Return and Exchange Policy for further assistance.

 

Refund Policy

  1. Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we will notify you about the refund status.
  2. If approved, a refund will be processed to your original payment method within 15 business days (excluding shipping fees).

Note: Banks or credit card companies may take additional time to process and post the refund.
